Lazarus Rising
Things got spooky a the Monastery on 8/11/17 when Halloween New Orleans hosted their annual Lazarus Ball which is normally held in October as part of the HNO weekend. The new month did not deter the crowd who came out in force to support this worthy cause. All proceeds of the night and the HNO weekend go to help Project Lazarus.
The mission of the Hosts of Halloween is to provide funding for Project Lazarus, a home in New Orleans for men and women with HIV/AIDS, so that they may provide healthcare and support services for their residents. Project Lazarus, which provides direct HIV/AIDS services, is the sole beneficiary of all funds which are raised.
The evening’s festivities included music from the awesome party band No Idea, dancing, food from some wonderful restaurants and caterers such as Eat and Palate, a selfie photo booth station, one of the nest silent auctions at a fundraiser, and most crucial free flowing libations.
