Another week, another Trivia at Siberia Lounge. As Fall begins to creep, let’s give one last shout out to summer. This week’s theme is SURFS UP: Beach Party hosted by the far out Dan and Ashley Tague. Come dressed in a beachy COSTUME and earn an extra 1 point for your team (1 point PER costumed team member!) So get out your floral shirts, your grass skirts, dress as a shark victim – WHATEVER. Each team may consist of up to 6 players. (Don’t forget to come up with a clever beachy team name!) Free to play! Must be 21+ to enter. First Prize is the coveted GOLDEN TURKEY trophy, a $30 bar tab, and bragging rights!

The Mads are Back! Join Mystery Science Theater 3000’s Frank Connie and Trace Beaulieu at the Broad Theatre as they screen some of the worst movies ever made and “riff” or comically make fun of them live and in the same style as the Peabody Award Winning series. FestiGals is going back in time to the red-light district for September’s Cocktails & Conversations. The Historic New Orleans Collection’s Storyville: Madams and Music revives the sights and sounds of New Orleans’s former red-light district a century after it’s closing. Pamela Arceneaux will walk guests through the history of prostitution in New Orleans in an area that hosted two decades of musical and sexual entertainment. Broadway at NOCCA Presents Faith Prince; NOCCA; 2800 Chartres Street; 8 – 11 p.m.
Faith Prince, Tony Award winner for Guys and Dolls, will make debut for Mark Cortales Broadway @ NOCCA concert series as a benefit for the The NOCCA Institute. She will be joined on stage by series host & pianist Seth Rudetsky, who starred last season in the 5-star London premiere of his Broadway musical Disaster! The format of the evening will be a seamless mix of intimate behind-the-scenes stories from one of Broadways favorite musical comedy stars prompted by Rudetskys insightful, funny, revealing questions and Ms. Prince singing some of the biggest hits from her musical theatre repertoire. This is a spontaneous evening of hilarity and show-stopping songs not to be missed. The special concert event is sponsored by the New Orleans Hotel Collection. All proceeds from the concert will benefit The NOCCA Institute.
Faith Prince has been dazzling Broadway audiences since winning the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Ms. Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. As one of Broadways best loved leading ladies, Faith most recently starred on Broadway in Disaster! The Musical for which she received rave reviews. In a role she was born to play, she also starred as the scheming, irascible Miss Hannigan in the Broadway revival of Annie. In 2008, she was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for A Catered Affair. Other Broadway credits include The Little Mermaid, Bells are Ringing (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle nominations), Nick & Nora (Outer Critics Circle Award), Jerome Robbins Broadway (Tony, Drama Desk nominations), Little Me, The Dead, and Noises Off. She also starred in the world premiere of Terrence McNallys Unusual Acts of Devotion and in the national tour of the Broadway hit Billy Elliott. Chicago audiences had the opportunity to see Faith on stage in the iconic role of Brenda in the new musical version of the hit movie First Wives Club.

The LGBTQIA Leadership Summit is a space where middle-high school students can gain leadership skills on creating inclusive GSA clubs at their schools, opportunities to begin basebuilding with a larger network of young leaders, and staying safe with law enforcement, including school resource officers and police.
