Brandon Green & Louisiana USofA Pageants present the last city preliminary of the 2016 year. Come enjoy a great night of pageantry at Mag’s 940 (940 Elysian Fields Ave.) with special Guest Emcees from the Big Easy Sisters, Sister Eileen Eulick and Sister Gloree Bea Divine! Entertainment will include Maya McNeil, Miss Gay Louisiana UsofA and Dominique Delorean, Miss Gay Four Seasons, as well as other prelim winners and special guests.  The cover is $8. The cover gets entry and raffle for a Dinner at Louisiana Bistro valued at $200.  Contestants Registration at 4:30-5pm with the pageant starting at 8 p.m.

New Orleans Magazine celebrates its 50th birthday as well at their annual Tops of the Town: A Celebration of the Top People and Places in Town.  Don your poodle skirt or pompadour and come celebrate 50 years of New Orleans Magazine AND the Tops of the Town as selected by our readers. SweetArts 2016 is a prelude to the Contemporary Arts Center’s 40th anniversary season. The event pays homage to the art, culture, and energy of the decade in which the CAC was founded—the 1970’s.  Get your tickets now to this incredible event.  Here is the schedule:

Tony has received numerous awards for his outstanding achievements in the hospitality industry. Besides his professional career, Anthony has played an active role in the community.He has served Event Chair of Art Against AIDS for the No/Aids Task Force for the past ten years and was honored as Humanitarian of the Year in 2010 by the organization. He is also a freelance writer who has written for USA Today, as well as several local publications.He also writes a column regularly In Ambush Magazine, plus is part of Gambit’s Big Easy Theatre Committee.Tony is a social butterfly of New Orleans that not only knows how to put on a great event but also knows how to enjoy one.
