Experience Full Circle New Orleans to Nepal: An Evening in the Botanical Gardens. Nepal sent $50,000 in aid to the state of Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina to help New Orleans and the affected regions. In the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes in Nepal, the Louisiana Himalaya Association (LHA) would like to return the favor, and we need your help. The event takes place at the Botanical Gardens in City Park from 6 – 10 p.m. Full Circle: New Orleans to Nepal is a fundraising benefit and auction to help the people of Nepal recover from devastating earthquakes, and repay their kindness to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Entrance donation will be $25 ($20 in advance at The Tibetan House at 4900 Tchoupitoulas Street or http://fullcirclenolatonepal.brownpapertickets.com/ and the event will feature: live music, food from local chefs and restaurants including Vincent’s Italian Cuisine on St. Charles, Bacchanal, and vegan options by Iskcon, Breads on Oak, Mona’s on Banks, Nolavore and many more, a cash bar and an auction hosted by John Calhoun. By attending this event, volunteering your time, or donating to the cause at http://lhainfo.org/donate.html, you will be part of the effort to provide Nepali earthquake survivors the same care and generosity given to our community.
LHA has been dedicated to improving the lives of people in the Himalayan regions of India and Nepal while providing a cultural bridge between Tibet and Louisiana since 1997. LHA has carefully reviewed the progress of aid in Nepal and asks for donations to provide immediate temporary shelter and housing supplies. 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to those in need, and every dollar is valuable. For more information on LHA, visit: www.lhainfo.org

Little Lagniappe for this Week:
#6. Saturday, July 11, 2016
The wine will flow at the grand opening of Brady’s Wine Warehouse (1029 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard) on the hottest new street in the city. They have been busy getting ready and hosting tastings that they haven’t had a chance to host a proper party, until now! So to make up for lost time, they have planned a grand opening party that’ll excite their guests. The boulevard will come alive with live music from the Lagniappe Band, DJ XXXY, free wine tastings, and food from Holy Grill Food Truck. The festivities begin at 7 p.m.
