#4. Friday, May 22 – Sunday, May 24, 2015

One of my favorite festivals is happening over Memorial Day Weekend as the 2015 Annual Greek Festival takes place on Bayou St. John (1200 Robert E Lee Boulevard). There is delicious Greek Food, Live Music and Entertainment, as well as plenty of family fun. This popular festival features homemade traditional Greek food and wine, and desserts (oh the desserts are incredible). Live traditional Greek dancing, performed by the Hellenic Dancers take place throughout the event as well as Greek bands will be playing on the Bayou so you can get your Greek on. Guests are encouraged to tour their beautiful Cathedral, visit the kids’ area, purchase their annual Poster designed by local artist Christie Works-Boutte and visit our Greek grocery with delectable cheeses, dips, spices, and much more. And for the shoppers, the Agora has some great Greek treasures. For more details and hours, go to www.greekfestnola.com.
