Mardi Gras Begins

110

The first of the 12th Night celebrations happened January 3, 2015 when the Mystic Krewe of Satyricon hosted their 12th night party at the Bayou St. John home of Harry Rosenberg and Marshal Harris. It was a stylish gathering with the wonderful Brick Bishop spinning tunes.

The entire krewe pitched in to make this event a huge success, from the décor to the food. The house was tastefully styled with crowns and Carnival regalia. Guests wore tuxedos or costumes as they mingled with the past royalty and members of the krewe. The atmosphere was also one of the highlights, as guests toasted the incoming monarchs on the bayou. They announced the new King and Queen of Satyricon (Marshal Harris and the fabulous Becky Allen) as well as picked the 12th Night King and Queen (Judy Reagan and Carina Cadarelli). It was a fanciful way to ring in the Mardi Gras season.
