Jazzin’ Up The Holidays

28

Irvin Mayfield’s celebrated his birthday in style at the New Orleans Jazz Market on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard. The theme was thirties speakeasy with a password to get into the door, casino games, cigar rollers and flapper style showgirls. The venue is incredible for parties and concerts, with a large theatre space. Renowned local restaurants like Commander’s Palace and Luke’s did the food and the cigar girls in period outfits passed around specialty cocktails like Manhattans. Of course the music was exceptional as guests ended the evening dancing the night away.

New Orleans Jazz Market is a modern, state of the art performance space inside the former Gators Department Store at Oretha Castle Haley and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevards. The venue will serve as the permanent home for the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra (NOJO).
