Loew’s 10th Anniversary Party

The Loew’s Hotel located at 300 Poydras Street celebrated their 10th anniversary on Thursday, January 16, 2014 with vibrant New Orleans flair.  Guests danced the night away to the sounds of Jimmy Maxwell and his orchestra.  The music was the perfect accompaniment wonderful soiree the hotel created.

The cuisine presentation was as unique as it was delicious.  Miniature martini glasses filled with your seafood remoulade favorite (shrimp, lump crabmeat or lobster) were tiered on the elegantly dressed buffet table with a visually stunning whole salmon presentation.  For the meat lovers, the carving station offered, veal chops, beef and turkey and oyster shooters were passed to the guests along with other great bites.

This luxury hotel which was the first  one back open in the city after Katrina boasts 285 guest rooms, 12 suites and 17,000 square feet of function space.  My favorite part if the fabulous Café Adelaide and Swizzle Stck Bar located in the lobby.

This modern Creole eatery has been a favorite of locals and visitors alike and is a Brennan Restaurant.    Bar Chef Lu Brow and Executive Chef Carl Schaubhut have become an amazing team, both were on hand this evening.  Lu was tantalizing guests with two especially delectable cocktail creations.
